The QPC invites interested people and organisations to contribute to the Inquiry.
Call for submissions
The QPC has released a Call for Submissions paper to:
- outline the scope of the inquiry
- identify matters on which the QPC is seeking information and feedback.
Lodge your submission through the online form below.
We welcome your feedback in the form that best suits you — it can be a short comment or a longer form submission with supporting analysis and reports attached.
Submissions close on 13 July 2026.
Please note:
- submissions that are provided for publication will be published on our website
- personal and confidential information will be treated in accordance with the Information Privacy Act 2009 and the Queensland Productivity Commission Act 2025. For further information, please see our website or contact the QPC at enquiry@qpc.qld.gov.au
- the QPC cannot consider or publish material that is offensive, potentially defamatory, or clearly beyond the scope of the inquiry
- the QPC is an advisory body and cannot investigate specific complaints — these should be referred to the appropriate regulator or investigative body.

Please include your contact details with your submission.
You can make submissions in many ways — from a short comment your views on a specific matter to a more extensive document covering a range of issues. Where possible, you should provide evidence, including relevant data and documentation, to support your views.
Transparency
The QPC is committed to transparent processes and prefers submissions to be made publicly available wherever possible.
Each submission, except for material provided in confidence, will be published on our website. Submissions will remain online indefinitely as public documents.
We will not publish material on our website that is offensive, potentially defamatory, or clearly beyond the scope of the inquiry or study in question.
Confidentiality and privacy
If your submission contains genuinely confidential material, this material should be provided as a separate attachment and marked ‘CONFIDENTIAL’.
Any personal information, such as home addresses and phone numbers, should not be included in the body of your submission. Contact the QPC for advice if you would like further information.

The QPC proposes to visit Queensland’s regions during June and July 2026 on the following dates:
- Cairns – Tuesday 7 July
- Townsville – Tuesday 30 June
- Mackay – Wednesday 15 July
- Rockhampton – Wednesday 22 July
- Roma – Tuesday 28 July
- Toowoomba – Monday 22 June
- Gold Coast – Wednesday 24 June.
Registrations for regional consultation have now closed. Stakeholders who have registered will be contacted by the QPC to confirm details for the consultation.
