As the Bill was a private member’s Bill, the Queensland Parliament’s Agriculture and Environment Committee recommended that a Regulatory Impact Statement (RIS) be completed prior to the Bill’s second reading speech. The Commission was requested to undertake the Consultation and Decision RIS.
